Admissions

femalebuddhaIf you are interested in any of the mentored study programs, I encourage you to contact me before submitting an application.  Admission is based on a candidate's character, spiritual maturity, and background (personal, spiritual, professional, and academic). Programs are open to all adults regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, race, or ethnicity. To access application and recommendation forms, please download application form (PDF) and recommendation form (PDF).

For the Advanced Contemplative Studies Program, there is no academic degree prerequisite.  However, in order to apply to the Ordination-Monastic Programs, applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.  In certain cases, a person will be admitted to the ordination/monastic program without a Bachelor's degree.  Please discuss your situation with me, if you do not have the usual academic prerequisites.

The call of ordination as an Interfaith Minister or Profession as an Interfaith Monastic involves a process of spiritual discernment over the study period, and is not automatically granted. For those who successfully fulfill all academic and spiritual requirements, ordination-profession is received during a final, community ceremony.

*Graduates of the Interfaith Theological Seminary, and others who have personally studied with me, are asked to fill out and send in the application form, but do not need to submit recommendation forms.  All others, please submit application and recommendation forms.   Thank you.

*Deadline for Retreat Registration and Program Admission is May 1, 2006.   Late applicants are asked to contact me directly.
