Dear Friends,
In response to the many people who have expressed
interest in ongoing and deepening contemplative study, I have revised
Via Hesychia in a new mentored studies format. Programs are
available for individuals who want to pursue spiritual study without a
degree, and also for individuals who would like to enter an ordination
or monastic program. In the new mentored programs, I work
closely with each participant to offer individualized guidance in a
small group format. Mystical in content and focus, the mentoring
relationship is designed to foster your spiritual growth, and to be a
resource for your continued journey into the divine heart.
The intention of all Via Hesychia programs is to provide a consistent presence of spiritual dialogue and
guidance throughout the year. By incorporating online technology alongside
in-person study, it is possible to create and maintain a mentoring relationship
that fosters contemplative wisdom and deepening spiritual practice. I am
enthusiastic about this new program, which offers individually designed
study, bi-monthly lectures downloadable in audio and written formats, and deep
spiritual discussion through online mentored dialogues. As always, the
core of the program is rooted in the person-to-person teaching and sharing that
develops during residential retreats.
All Via Hesychia Programs are designed for participants to
study at their own pace, based on thier education, spiritual
background, professional experiences, and study goals.
Advanced Contemplative Study Program
Advanced Contemplative Study is a program for individuals who have spent
many years pursuing a spiritual path and now feel drawn to a deeper, mystical
commitment. It is particularly relevant for the serious spiritual
student, religious educators, spiritual directors, and other healing
professionals in medicine, psychology, or the arts who want to deepen their
personal practices and mystical awareness, and who want to integrate
contemplative wisdom into their personal lives and professional
practices.
Program
involves study of sacred texts and traditions, spiritual practices,
ongoing reflective thought and dialogue, and individualized yearly
study plan. Advanced Contemplative Study begins with a summer
retreat and individuals can be enrolled for one or more years,
depending on their interests and goals.
